About Digital signature (eSign PDF)
Digital signature (eSign PDF) lets you eSign a document by placing a typed signature (name, style, color) on a live page preview—no print/sign/scan loop, no extra desktop app for basic workflows. Remote hiring packets, rental forms, internal approvals, and school permission slips move faster when each party can drop a signature exactly where the line sits on the PDF.
Visual placement beats guessing coordinates: you see the signature block or line you are covering. Font options approximate common handwriting styles, but this is not the same as a regulated PKI certificate or qualified eIDAS signature—confirm with your jurisdiction or counterparty if a specific certified provider is required for enforceability.
After you run the tool, download the signed PDF and keep an unmodified copy if disputes are possible. Use Protect PDF when only certain people should open the file, and Unlock PDF first if you hold the password for an encrypted original.
Only sign files you are authorized to execute. Avoid highly confidential contracts on shared or untrusted networks; for regulated deals, use counsel-approved e-sign platforms rather than a general-purpose browser utility.
