About Translate PDF
Translate PDF helps you produce a translated PDF when the source mixes text and layout that plain copy-paste would break. International teams localize brochures, NGOs adapt reports for donors abroad, and travelers decode official letters. You choose a target language and provide OCR language hints when scans are involved so the pipeline recognizes the source alphabet correctly.
Machine translation improves constantly but is not a substitute for certified human translation in legal, medical, or financial contexts—treat output as a draft unless a professional reviews it. Layout preservation varies: tables and columns may reflow; right-to-left languages need extra visual checking.
Large PDFs may require splitting before upload. If the file is image-only, OCR PDF first can improve text extraction quality. After translation, Compress or Protect as needed for sharing.
Verify you have rights to translate and redistribute the content—copyright still applies. Avoid uploading confidential merger plans or personal health narratives unless compliance approves cloud translation APIs. For public web articles, linking may suffice instead of translating entire PDFs without permission.
