About Scan to PDF

Scan to PDF bridges the gap between phone cameras and submission-ready PDFs. You capture paper—receipts, forms, sketches—or you already have loose PDF pages and images, and this tool assembles them into a single downloadable PDF suitable for email, cloud storage, or portal upload. Remote workers digitize signed paperwork; parents upload school forms; small businesses archive daily register printouts without a desktop scanner.

Image quality still matters: even great software cannot invent text that was never in focus. Shoot in good light, fill the frame, and avoid harsh shadows across text. If your phone saves massive files, consider Image Compressor or Image Resizer before upload when the form allows quality tradeoffs. Mixed inputs (JPEG plus existing PDF) are supported when the page’s accept list includes those types.

Ordering files before upload usually defines page order in the output—double-check the sequence matches how a human would flip the stack. After assembly, chain Compress PDF for email, Protect PDF for sensitive packets, or OCR PDF if you need searchable text from scans.

Review every page in the downloaded PDF for accidental rotation or cropped edges before you discard the paper originals. Confidential medical or financial scans should only use online tools when your policy permits; offline scanning suites on a trusted device remain the safest default for regulated data.

Supported formats

This tool accepts PDF, JPG / JPEG, PNG. Multiple files are supported when the control allows it—order usually matches page order in the output. Always respect the upload limit shown next to the form before sending large documents.

How to use

  1. Click Upload and choose your files.
  2. Set any options shown (compression, mode, ranges, etc.).
  3. Press Run tool and wait until the progress finishes.
  4. Download or copy the result from the result panel.

If processing fails, check the upload size limit on the form, try fewer or smaller files, or retry in a fresh tab.

Security & privacy

Files and text you send are processed to produce your result and are not intended for long-term storage on your behalf. Avoid uploading passports, bank details, medical records, or legally sensitive material unless you accept the risks of any online service. For confidential workflows, prefer offline software on a device you control. Read our privacy policy for site-wide practices.
